Troubleshoot video or audio that skips in a video conference using an iSight or third-party IIDC camera over a wireless connection.

You notice delays in video performance or skipping in audio performance. Video may appear blocky or jumpy. The message "No packets have been received for the last 10 seconds" may appear, and the conference disconnects.

This can happen when you're connected to a wireless network, including AirPort and third-party wireless access points.

To troubleshoot the video or audio issue:

  1. Open iChat AV
  2. From the Audio menu, choose Connection Doctor.
  3. Watch the "Quality" section of the window. If the audio or video meters are less than 100%, this symptom is likely to occur due to packet loss.

If this is the case, connect to a wired network and try the conference again.
